GEOTHERMAL WATER AT THE MOTEL

As well as using our bore for the thermal heating in the rooms we also have 2 genuine thermal indoor pools and one heated outdoor pool for guests to relax in. Our pools are attended to daily and offer a unique way to relax in the natural hot water, for which Rotorua is famous.

We also have an outside barbecue and wooden barbecue tables in our Mediterranean style courtyard full of flowers, as well as in the main garden or next to the pool.

At Sequoia Motel our facilities also include a brand new fully equipped complimentary guest laundry.

Part of our service to our guests includes providing recommendations on the many activities and attractions around Rotorua. We can even offer you complimentary booking assistance for restaurants, tours, Maori concerts, taxis and any other activities that you may like to participate in.

GOLF

If you enjoy Golf, why not visit Springfield Golf Club, just a couple of minutes from Sequoia  Motel? Springfield Golf Club is Rotorua’s only championship course and provides a great challenge with its extremely tight fairways and abundance of trees that surround the course. 

ACTIVITIES ON & AROUND THE LAKES

From Rotorua city centre it’s an easy 20 minute drive to the lakes. Take a picnic with you or host a casual barbecue at one of the public barbecues available for your use, while the kids play in the playground.

Take a leisurely catamaran excursion or perhaps a more active kayak on Lake Rotorua and enjoy the sun sparkling off the lake and sounds of nature in the surrounding native bush.

If you would like to get a bit more active, try water-skiing, jet skiing, scuba diving, snorkelling or windsurfing – all of which we can organise for you. If you’d like something a little bit romantic let us organise you a sunset sail on Lake Rotorua.

SKIING & SNOWBOARDING

From Rotorua you can head down the North Island past Lake Taupo to Mt Ruapehu, where you can experience some of the best skiing the North Island of New Zealand has to offer.
